On Aug 1, 2020, the building caught fire and suffered significant damage to the roof, south side exterior, and a great deal of smoke damage to the interior. The City of Victorville went to work repairing the fire damages, while a group of community-minded arts patrons began renovating the interior and repurposing the building to meet today’s performing arts standards. Now, after three years of obstacles, an entity name change, and COVID-19 detours throughout the repair schedule, the building is slated to host a Grand Re-Opening celebration as soon as the City of Victorville finishes updates and renovations to the exterior property.
